The Student Industry Networking Event (SINE) is convened annually by the BIO5 Institute in partnership with the BioIndustry Organization Southern Arizona (BIOSA). SINE has successfully connected hundreds of UArizona students with representatives from the Arizona bioscience industry.
SINE attracts undergraduate and graduate students in life sciences, medicine, chemistry, engineering, computer and information sciences, and business programs, and places them face-to-face with representatives from bioscience organizations from across Arizona, across the United States, and beyond.
Meeting company representatives is an important learning opportunity to prepare for future careers in industry, business, service organizations, and/or administration. Participants can ask their questions, secure important advice, meet potential mentors, pursue summer internships, and, in many cases, even achieve permanent employment after graduation with their internship hosts. We encourage students to consult with industry leaders and UArizona alumni who participate in SINE about employment strategies and professional tips to ease the transition from college into the workforce.
