General Information

When will the next Discover BIO5 event series take place?

Due to the uncertainties and health considerations associated with COVID-19, we are currently reimagining our upcoming Discover BIO5 events. We will update you with the latest information as we navigate hosting this series in a way that supports the safety and peace of mind of our faculty, staff, volunteers, participants, and guests. Thank you for your patience!

How do I get added to a contact list to receive information on future event dates?

Please contact us at events@bio5.org to be added to the list.

Where will the Discover BIO5 events take place?

Traditionally, all Discover BIO5 events are held on the University of Arizona campus in the BIO5 / UAHS Tri-Building complex located at 1657 Helen Street, Tucson, AZ 85719. Due to COVID-19, some of our events are moving to a virtual format, such as our Faculty Industry Networking Event on August 13, 2020. Details can be found at discoverbio5.arizona.edu under the individual event listings.

Do I need to be a UA employee or student to attend?

No, these events are open to the public and we encourage anyone with an interest in science and education to Discover BIO5!

Where can I park?

Event parking will be free in all UA surface lots surrounding the BIO5 Institute after 4:30pm the day of the event. Alternatively, there are some for-pay parking spaces which use meters in the Zone 1 parking lot just east of BIO5. The closest, hourly paid parking garage is located at Highland Avenue Garage (located at 1420 E Helen Street). The garage charges $2 per hour with an $8 maximum for 4+ hours of parking. The Highland Garage will not be free the night of the event. Accessible parking will be available in the Zone 1 lot located directly across the street from the Bioscience Research Laboratory (BSRL) Building off Cherry Ave.
